It can be tricky to know for sure if someone has deleted their Snapchat account, as opposed to simply blocking you or becoming inactive. Here are some signs that suggest an account might be deleted:
Username Search: Try searching for their username in the Snapchat app. If you can't find their username when you search, this could indicate the account has been deleted. This is covered in more detail on pages about username%20search.
Chat History: If you had an existing chat with the person, their username will likely disappear from your chat list, or you might see a generic Snapchat icon instead of their name and profile picture. Messages you sent them might appear as "pending" indefinitely. More info is found on chat%20history.
Adding as a Friend: If you try to add them as a friend and you can't find their profile, and especially if a message comes up saying the username doesn't exist, this is a strong indicator that the account is gone. More information about adding%20as%20a%20friend can be found online.
Mutual Friends: Ask mutual friends if they can still see the person's account. If multiple people can no longer find the account, it's more likely to be deleted. More on mutual%20friends.
Snap Score: If you previously knew their snap score and now cannot see it, it suggests a deletion. Snap scores are discussed in more detail on snap%20score pages.
Important Note: These signs are indications and not definitive proof. The person may have blocked you, or temporarily deactivated their account. Snapchat also purges inactive accounts after a period of time.
